The New Willow Bay - Year 3 Fall 3 - Wilcox-Page

Welcome back to the new Willow Bay.  The fall rotation is still underway in the neighbourhood.

As a knowledge sim, Munroe Wilcox-Page was acutely aware of the nature of ghosts.  Each one had a different spectral aura corresponding with their method of death.  White ghosts died of old age, pink from fright, and blue ghosts drowned in a pool.

All of the ghosts at 4 Shadow Circle were red from fire.  From their death dates, including his own father's, Munroe knew that each sim had died at a different time.  What he didn't know was what was causing all of the fires.

His mother Sophia spent all day in bed.  She was pregnant and she was lonely.  She never imagined that she would be a widow so young and so poor.  If Claude had died a little later in life, maybe the whole thing would be more glamorous.

Claude never got the chance to meet their daughter, Abigail Wilcox-Page.

And Abigail was never going to meet her mother.  Another mysterious fire hit 4 Shadow Circle.  The last thing Sophia heard before she began burning alive was a loud bang in the garbage can.

Munroe followed shortly after.  The fire that killed his mother spread to him.  The last thing he saw was a mysterious figure peering around the back corner of the house.  A woman.

...

...

When Fiona Page arrived to claim Abigail, the social workers were shocked.  No records indicated that the deceased had any next of kin, but Fiona's documents checked out.  She told them she had just moved to town when she had heard about her brother-in-law passing away in hopes of reconciling with her sister.  Then the second fire hit and, well, plans change.

Fiona: I loved my sister.  Both of us were artists in our own way.  When she met Cloud-

Social Worker: I believe his name was Claude.

Fiona: Well back when we were teenagers, he pretentiously nicknamed himself 'Cloud.'  As I was saying, when she met him she became obsessed.  He knocked her up in high school and they had their son, Munroe soon after.  She started modelling and I lost contact with her after that, until this past summer.  One day I get an email from her saying she had settled in Willow Bay.  We started talking back and forth until she sent me her husband's obituary.  I was stunned and came as soon as I could.

Fiona: I can look after Abigail.  You can trust me.  I loved my sister.

Fiona kept to herself after moving to Willow Bay.  She didn't let Abigail see her cry.

She had enough money that she didn't need to work, at least until Abigail was old enough to go to school.

Abigail never asked questions about her parents and brother.  It was a long forgotten memory by now.

When it was time to send Abigail to school, Fiona got a job as a mailroom technician to help pay the bills.

She was good at the technical side of things, but that didn't stop her from having 'outbursts.'

Everyone around town figured she was still grieving after her sister's death.

She hired a nanny to keep an eye on Abigail while she worked on weekends and when she went out.

She met a drunken Kyle Deppiesse in a bar one afternoon.  He told her about his break up with Charlotte Stratton.  How all he wanted was to be a husband and father.

She told him that while the husband thing was off the table, he certainly could be a father.

He left her in bed before taking the bus back to Boolprop College.
