Unlike most families in town, the GilsCarbos didn't put the pressure on their sons to be studious.
Goopy and Larry were happy as long as their boys were happy. Even Byron, their youngest and the only one who wanted to pursue a career in life, didn't need to go to college to do so. He would just be going for the fun of it.
It did give their boys a strange love-hate relationship with some of the other teenagers.
And when I say strange, I mean along the lines of Anne Marie Fancey crushing on one brother but flirting with another.
Every since Chloe Borg had passed her businesses down to Larry, the family kept receiving strange phone calls. More recently, their property kept getting vandalized while the family was away.
Nicholas: Gross! You guys have roaches.
Rhys: How incompetent are the cops here that they can't find out who keeps attacking us?
Rhys: Seriously, they did it again. We can't go one day without someone knocking over our trash. We didn't even do anything.
Larry: Bud, it's probably just some kids around town playing a prank. It will stop when they get bored.
...
Better late than never- Larry reached the top of the business career and became the 4th Business Tycoon in the entirety of Willow Bay. However, with Melissa Fancey and Christy Stratton both aging, all progress made could easily be lost.
In the final days of fall, it was time for the boys to join their brother at college. First was Rhys due to his being older.
Between his sons leaving, Goopy celebrated his elder birthday.
Just before winter hit, Byron packed his bags.
Larry: Now that all of the boys are gone, I can finally tell you something... I found the most peculiar thing in Chloe's old flower shop the other day...
